This has not disappointed. I have loved and connected with all of those stories. I hope this turns into a longitudinal study, like the 7-up study. If our identity is not real and only a perception of ourselves, then we all have two identities - internal and external - our perception of ourselves and others perception of us. Are these congruent? Or do they need to be and are we the best judges of our identity if it is simply our own perceptions of ourselves? I think identity is real, I think it is our core self, it cannot be changed, it is integral to who we are. However it is not always announced or recognised by us initially and as such through the trial error that is life has to be discovered by each of us on our individual life journey. I would love to hear stories of identity from those in their 70s 80s and 90s+++ who can look back on their life and see who they really are - flaws and all.
